Who am I?
My name is Nicole Davis and I am in the twelfth grade at Watkinson School. I am a dedicated athlete who plays soccer, basketball, and lacrosse, but soccer is by far my favorite sport. I have been playing for 8 years and it is something I am very passionate about. I enjoy spending time practicing photography and am a peer math tutor to underclassmen. I love traveling and exploring new places, even though I am a city girl at heart. I am interested in studying behavioral psychology and math in the future.
What Is Global Studies?
The Global Studies program is a dual diploma program that allows students to explore global issues that currently affect our world. In this program, we have a list of central topics ranging from environmental justice to nonviolence. We attend a multitude of events that highlight different speakers whose focus is in one of those areas. We are also able to create our own project that highlights one of these central ideas while also relating it to a topic that we are interested in. It is also simply used as a platform for us to express our ideas on how to aid in fixing some of the problems that trouble our world today.
